Is this the worst ever use of the word ‘solutions’? Or, at least, the saddest?

'High Court Solutions' poster
One day, every business in the country will have the word ‘solutions’ in its name, whether it actually solves anything or not.

Even if, perhaps, it is part of the problem and not part of the solution.

I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry when I saw this notice in an Oxford shop window. I’m guessing that ‘High Court Solutions’ are bailiffs or similar.

And the typo below the name (‘premies’) just makes it worse.

  1. I do love typos, especially those committed by pseudo-official sources, who should know better. I blogged only last night about mis-use of English in job ads. Typologists (did I just invent a word?) are everywhere.
